Spanish tutoring, spoken from day one.

Languages are learned by speaking them. We pair your student with a tutor who speaks Spanish fluently and uses it as the working language of the session, from very early on.

The students we tend to do best with.

Right for middle and high school Spanish students, AP Spanish Language and Literature students, heritage speakers building literacy, and absolute beginners.

Four things every Spanish engagement includes.

01

Conversation first

Even early sessions are mostly in Spanish. We use English only to unblock specific grammar or vocabulary questions.

02

Grammar in context

We teach conjugation and the subjunctive through use, not drills. The drills are there, but they support the conversation, not the other way around.

03

AP Spanish Language prep

The exam tests three modes of communication. We prep all three with timed practice across the year.

04

AP Spanish Literature

We work through the required reading list, the literary terms, and the four exam essay types.

A plan you can read in a paragraph.

Weekly sessions, 60 minutes, mostly in Spanish, with homework that involves listening and speaking rather than worksheets when possible.

Spanish questions families ask.

My student gets nervous speaking Spanish. Can you still teach conversation-first?+
Yes, and that is exactly the right context. Our tutors are patient and the one-to-one format means there is no audience pressure. Most students relax within two or three sessions.
Can you tutor heritage speakers who need help with writing?+
Yes. Spoken fluency without written fluency is one of the most common patterns we see, and we prep it specifically.
