ACT tutoring that respects the clock.

The ACT punishes hesitation more than the SAT. Our UCLA tutors teach pacing the way a coach teaches splits, and we drill until your student knows exactly how long to spend on each passage and each problem.

The students we tend to do best with.

Right for students who feel rushed on the SAT, science-leaning students who like data, and anyone retaking after a flat first sitting.

Four things every ACT engagement includes.

01

Pacing first, content second

Most students who underperform on the ACT do so because they ran out of time. We build pacing benchmarks in the first three sessions and then layer content review on top.

02

Science as a reading section

ACT Science is mostly chart reading and experimental logic, not biology trivia. Our tutors teach the patterns the test reuses every form.

03

Real ACT forms, timed

We use released forms from the official Red Book and recent online releases, never simulated content.

04

Optional writing prep

If the target schools want the writing section, we coach a four-paragraph structure that scores consistently in the 8 to 11 range.

A plan you can read in a paragraph.

We track section-by-section pacing in a shared sheet so your student can see, week to week, where the clock is being lost. The score curve moves once the timing problem is solved.

ACT questions families ask.

Should my student take the SAT or the ACT?+
We start with a short diagnostic of each. Students who are strong, slow readers usually do better on the SAT. Students who are fast and pattern-driven usually do better on the ACT. Most colleges accept either with no preference.
How many practice tests will my student take?+
Three to five full-length, proctored tests across a typical engagement, with shorter section-only timed sets in between.
Do you tutor the ACT writing section?+
Yes, when requested. We do not require it because most California schools no longer use it.
