AP Physics tutoring for every level.
Physics is one of the few subjects where intuition gets in the way at first. Our UCLA tutors come from engineering and physics majors who have done the rebuild from the other side, and they know how to teach the un-learning as well as the learning.
The students we tend to do best with.
Right for AP 1 and 2 students, calculus-based C Mechanics or C E&M students, and students retaking C-level exams.
Four things every AP Physics engagement includes.
Algebra-based 1 and 2
These two are conceptually deep but mathematically light. The exam grades reasoning, not arithmetic, and we coach the reasoning explicitly.
Calculus-based C Mechanics
Once derivatives and integrals enter the picture, the conceptual load drops and the algebraic load rises. We bridge from AB calculus to mechanics so neither subject suffers.
C Electricity & Magnetism
The hardest AP exam by score distribution. We start early and we use the released FRQs as the spine of the prep, not the supplement.
Free-response writing
Physics FRQs reward clear setup. We coach the diagram-then-equation-then-answer structure that loses fewer rubric points.
A plan you can read in a paragraph.
We pace the year against the released exam outlines, and we recommend two or three full-length mocks in the last six weeks. For students taking C-level, we strongly recommend starting in October.
